Level-by-level overview

Level 4 — Year 1 equivalent

Foundations in organisations, marketing essentials, numeracy for business, academic skills, and an introduction to economics or context studies depending on pathway.

Outcomes: describe basic business problems, use credible sources, present structured arguments.

Level 5 — Year 2 equivalent

Intermediate units in operations, people management, finance for managers, research methods, and elective-style applied projects.

Outcomes: analyse cases, interpret data summaries, collaborate on group deliverables.

Level 6 — Final year equivalent

Strategic management, leadership, risk or governance themes, and a capstone business project integrating prior learning.

Outcomes: justify recommendations to stakeholders, manage scope and deadlines, evidence professional reflection.

Credit & contact pattern

  • 120 credits per level — typically 6–8 units (exact titles vary by pathway).
  • Directed learning: recorded lectures, core readings, discussion boards.
  • Live sessions: cohort tutorials and assessment briefings (timetable in VLE).

Assessment & feedback

Written assignments, time-constrained tasks where units specify them, presentations, and reflective logs. Each summative task publishes a rubric aligned to learning outcomes; you receive individual feedback and generic lessons-learned for the cohort.
