Earning credit

You can chose to do our MBA and get credit for the courses you have studied.  You must qualify to study for the credit earning MBA programme.  In order to get credit, you will be required to do the coursework and complete assessment.  Assessments can be exams, projects, case studies, presentations, etc.  There will be a minor fee for getting your assessments marked.  Upon successful completion of the assessment you will get credit for the course you have studied.

Study in-person or online

For the credit based MBA Programme we have two study options.  You can study online or in person through the block delivery format.  You can also combine and switch between these two.

Online Courses

  • All of the courses are online
  • You can study on your own pace
  • Watch online lectures
  • Read and download the course material
  • Chat with peers on our virtual learning environment
  • Do you assessments and submit these online

In-Person Block Delivery

  • In-person courses are taught by various professors around the world
  • These courses are taught using the block delivery format, i.e. taught in an intensive format for one week (Monday to Friday)
  • Classes will start on Monday morning at 9:00 am, and finish each day at 5:00 pm
  • Courses may be taught in hotels or at partner institutions
  • Courses to be delivered in various cities across the globe (based on demand and availability of professors)
  • Students will also have online access to the course
  • At the end of the week, students will be given an assessment
  • Students will be given a certain time period to complete these assessments and submit through the online virtual learning environment

Assessments

Since you will be earning credit for the courses you study, you will be required to do an assessment.  The assessments are usually a 2,000 to 4,000 word assignment or case study analysis.  Assessments are to be submitted online through the virtual learning system.

How do we mark the assessments

Once we receive your assessment, it will be marked by two different professors.  Each assessor is an experienced and qualified assessor.  The assessments are blind assessed, meaning the professor doing the marking will not know your name.  After the marking by two professors, a third professors will act as an auditor and examine the work done by the first two.  We use this check and balance system to ensure that a fair, consistent and appropriate marking methods have been used.

Entry Requirements

Since this is a credit based MBA programme, participants must fulfil the entry requirements.  The following minimum entry requirements must be fulfilled:

  • Good knowledge of English.  If English is not your first language, or you have not studied or worked in an English speaking country then you should h
  • A bachelors degree.  A UK bachelors degree or equivalent.  Or an equivalent professional qualification.  If you don’t have the required degree, you may show your competency through significant leadership or management experience (minimum of 8 years).
  • Full-time work experience.  You should ideally have a minimum of 5 years of full-time (post bachelors degree) work experience.  World experience can be from any industry and sector, including non-profit, government, armed forces, and private sector organisations.  This includes entrepreneurial work as a self-employed individual.

If you don’t the work experience requirements, but meet the other requirements,  you may qualify to do a Master’s in Management.  Alternatively you can still study for the non-credit MBA programme.

Fees

  • There are no tuition fees for both the online and the in-person block teaching
  • There is a fee of $250 for each course as an assessment marking fee.  This fee is used for administrative purposes, including ensuring that your assessment is marked by experienced and qualified professors in a fair and just manner.
  • If you chose to do any of the courses in-person, there is an additional fee of $500 per course to cover administrative costs.
