For many students, studying business is an important step towards building the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed for a successful career. However, the cost of education can be a significant consideration.
Undergraduate business scholarships can help make higher education more accessible for talented and motivated students. At ICM, a range of scholarship and financial support options may be available to support eligible students studying undergraduate programmes at Levels 4–6.
This guide explains the scholarship options available, how they are assessed and how students can prepare a strong application.
Why Study an Undergraduate Business Programme?
A business education can provide a broad foundation across key areas of organisational and professional life. ICM’s undergraduate programme is structured across UK Levels 4, 5 and 6, representing the three stages of an undergraduate learning journey.
Students develop knowledge in areas including:
- Principles of management
- Marketing fundamentals
- Financial decision-making
- Operations management
- Business communication
- Organisational behaviour
- Strategic marketing
- Human resource management
- Business strategy
- Leadership and strategic management
At Level 5, students can follow the core Business Management pathway or choose a Project Management specialisation.

How Much Does the Undergraduate Business Programme Cost?

- Level 4: £3,500
- Level 5: £3,500
- Level 6: £4,000
- Total programme tuition: £11,000
Students pay per level, rather than making the full programme commitment upfront. Instalment options may also be available.
Optional immersive learning modules in London are priced separately at £1,250 per module.
How Are Scholarships Assessed?
Scholarship applications are assessed through a holistic review. Factors may include:
- Academic background
- Professional experience
- Personal statement
- Career goals
- Geographic and financial context
This means a strong application is about more than grades alone. Students should clearly demonstrate their motivation, potential and plans for the future.
How to Strengthen Your Scholarship Application
A scholarship application should give admissions a clear understanding of who you are and why you are pursuing your chosen programme.
1. Demonstrate Your Academic Potential
Highlight strong academic results and relevant achievements where applicable. Explain the subjects, projects or experiences that have helped shape your interest in business.
2. Explain Your Career Goals
Be clear about where you want your education to take you. You may want to pursue a career in management, marketing, entrepreneurship, operations, finance or project management.
A strong application explains how the programme supports those goals.
3. Write a Focused Personal Statement
Your personal statement should communicate:
- Why you want to study business
- Your academic or professional interests
- Your career ambitions
- Your motivation for applying for a scholarship
- How you hope to use your education in the future
4. Highlight Relevant Experience
Relevant experience is not limited to full-time employment. You may have developed valuable skills through:
- Internships
- Part-time work
- Volunteering
- Entrepreneurship
- Student projects
- Leadership activities
- Family business responsibilities
Focus on what you learned and how the experience demonstrates your potential.
5. Apply Early
Early applicants may have access to Early Application Awards, subject to eligibility and availability. It is also important to remember that scholarships are limited and competitive.
Flexible Learning for Modern Students
ICM’s undergraduate programmes are designed with flexibility in mind. The learning experience includes online and blended delivery, real-world case studies, applied learning and continuous academic support.
Students may also have access to optional in-person intensive sessions.
The broader student experience is designed to support practical development beyond academic study, including career and employability support, professional development and exposure to real-world business perspectives.
A Flexible Approach to Your Academic Journey
Students can choose different study and progression options depending on their goals.
One option is to complete Levels 4, 5 and 6 as part of the full undergraduate journey. Another is to complete Level 4 and/or Level 5 before exploring university transfer opportunities.
University progression is subject to entry requirements, academic performance and university-specific criteria.
Is an Undergraduate Business Scholarship Right for You?
An undergraduate business scholarship may be worth exploring if you are a motivated student who:
- Has strong academic potential
- Has clear career ambitions
- Wants to study business in a flexible format
- Needs financial support to make education more accessible
- Wants to develop practical and career-focused skills
- Is interested in future progression opportunities
Financial support can help students take an important next step, but scholarships are competitive and eligibility criteria apply.
Take the Next Step
An undergraduate business qualification can provide a strong foundation for future professional and academic development. Scholarships and financial support may help eligible students make that opportunity more accessible.
Before applying, review the available scholarship options, prepare a strong personal statement and gather relevant evidence of your academic achievements, experience and future goals.
